    4. GDG Cloud London

This is a group learning exercise for TensorFlow organised by GDG Cloud Community.  This is NOT a tutorial workshop.  All background levels welcome.  But you are expected to ACTIVELY participate in learning and sharing.

The areas the hack sessions will focus on are:

      • how to deploy a model to the cloud and expose it via an api
      • how to use a custom dataset to train a model from scratch
      • how to transfer and retrain an existing model

Each session will be divided in two parts:
      • 18:30 - 19:00  -  sharing and talking about your progress in groups.  this is a social time so expect there to be noise.
      • 19:00 - 20:30  -  quiet focusing on coding.  this is to allow you to get into your flow.  there will be minimal noise at this time.

    1. Le Wagon Talk with Akarsh Sanghi, Design Lead at N26 Bank

N26 is clearly a well known disruptor in finance and banking which has made it's mark as a leading Fintech company. With over 400,000 customers in 17 European countries, N26 is expanding its product line-up fast. Currently offering Investment, Savings, Overdraft, Credit and now Insurance. Customers can open their bank account in under 8 minutes and that's pretty much down to a slick user experience. As the design lead we'll hear from Akarsh what it takes to create a bank from scratch and push it to this level becoming a market leader in the new banking movement.

To many, design is often overlooked or rather taken for granted as industry-norm. But there's so much that goes into making your experience memorable that forces you to open an app again and again, that you don't know about. We will hear more stories on the topic from Akarsh.

Campus AMA Lunch: Community and Reciprocity at Monzo

Campus Ask Me Anything (AMA) lunches are our newest community event. As the name suggests, this is a chance to have your questions answered! Each lunch will feature a different topic and entrepreneur; come armed with questions to make the most of the hour

This week's topic: Community and Reciprocity
Featured guest: Naji Esiri, Community Manager at Monzo

Monzo was founded in February 2015 with the mission of building a bank with everyone, for everyone. Their amazing community of users suggests features, tests the app, and gives constant feedback so they can build something that everyone loves.

Naji makes up one-third of the marketing team at Monzo, organising community events, producing community-focused content, and managing online platforms for engagement and interaction with Monzo customers. In this Campus AMA Lunch, Naji will share how their community has helped them to build on and improve their offering and, in turn, how the Monzo team has been able to turn community feedback and action into something valuable for users and the wider community.

If you're looking for tips and suggestions on galvanizing users into a community and turning user feedback into action, this Campus AMA lunch is for you! Please sign up below.
