A year of recovery

"After the unprecedented situation we have lived in the past two years, in a social, health, and economic context heavily marked by the pandemic, we at Google for Startups are inspired by seeing how the startup community has continued to innovate, grow, and create new quality jobs.

Since the beginning of the health crisis in 2020, we have had to demonstrate resilience and agility to fulfill our commitment to help the entrepreneurial ecosystem of our country to continue developing, growing, and scaling. We have continued to support startups virtually and have adapted to the circumstances to offer them the best of us, and they have taken advantage of it.

Among the startups in our community, we find stories of internationalization, stories of growth, and, above all, job creation. For this reason, I would like to share with you the economic impact data of the Google for Startups community for this last year, a clear reflection of how startups are the engine of economy, innovation, and digitization for our country."

Growing internationally is key for us because it makes us not depend on the seasonality of the market. It is very important for the business and gives us a lot of credibility with investors. In 2021 we went from 15% to 50% international turnover in just three months thanks to the learnings from the Growth Academy program, especially thanks to Google Ads strategies and our ability to make the most out of data.
