GfS Talk: The changing digital ads ecosystem and its impact on startups
The European Commission is drafting two new advertising regulations: The Digital Services Act and The Digital Markets Act, that will have a huge impact on startups and small businesses. This talk will discuss these policy changes in depth and describe Google’s privacy-forward approach to ads that offer users greater control and transparency.
Google for Startups is inviting startups from the EU to participate in a conversation about the future of the digital ads ecosystem and its impact on business. The one-hour event will take place on Google Meet, starting with a 30 min presentation followed by an open discussion with Google employees.

About the Speakers
Ondrej Socuvka is currently serving as Public Policy and Government Affairs Manager for Google Europe, and is responsible for coordinating pan-European stakeholders engagement efforts. He has more than fifteen years of EU policy and international public affairs experience. Before Google, he worked as an Economic Advisor to the US Ambassador in Slovakia and as a Member of the Advisory Team of the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic.
Jens Redmer is Principal for New Products at Google. He joined Google in 2005 and was previously responsible for New Business Development for Google's efforts in Europe. Jens is and was a member of various boards, among those the Supervisory Board at PON Holdings, the Netherlands based mobility conglomerate and exclusive importer for Volkswagen, Porsche and Audi and a member of the scientific board at the think tank “Frankfurter Zukunftsrat”.
