      5. How to leverage existing Cloud higher-level Product and APIs - like machine learning APIs - leveraging Image,Voice or Video recognition API, or build your own Machine learning model -to build advanced products on top of that.
      6. Build cost effective business activities on cloud platforms which are dynamically scaling according to various growth factors.

    1. Intellectual Courage: Lessons on Strategic Leadership for your Business

Why did the Allies succeed at Normandy in the face of the enormous challenges?  What can today’s business leaders learn from them? How can you best apply their strategies to your business?

Join internationally acclaimed combat leader, author, and strategic thinker *Christopher D. Kolenda* for a presentation about the Importance of *Intellectual Courage for Strategic Leaders*.

Chris is the editor and co-author of the critically-acclaimed book Leadership: The Warrior’s Art.

Chris’s presentation offers several compelling lessons for C-level corporate executives, tech-company start-up entrepreneurs, and non-profit leaders.

What is Intellectual Courage? Why is it so essential for Strategic Leaders?

*Intellectual Courage is the artful balance between conviction and open-mindedness — it is the foundation of good judgement.*

Leaders with intellectual courage operate with trustworthiness and respect. They use empathy, strategy, and stewardship to achieve lasting success and impact.

D-Day offers striking insights for leaders today. It is not just a footnote in our history.

Participants in this presentation will learn how the Allies:
          •    Used stewardship and empathy to forge a winning leadership team,
          •    Developed a strategy resilient to high levels of uncertainty and complexity,
          •    Employed empathy and strategy to take advantage of Germany’s cognitive, political, and bureaucratic frictions,
          •    Overcame damaging bureaucratic and institutional silos.

If you are a leader at the strategic level – a C-suite executive, founder of a high-performing start-up, director of a non-profit or an entrepreneur – you are dealing with unique levels of autonomy, uncertainty, complexity.

You can develop new solutions and better approaches to these challenges by learning from the experiences of other leaders.

      --
Christopher D. Kolenda’s leadership in combat is featured in New York Times Bestsellers The Outpost by Jake Tapper and Stones into Schools by Greg Mortenson as well as articles in The Wall Street Journal, the Economist, and The Washington Post.

Chris led over 1,000 American and Afghan soldiers in the highly dangerous Kunar and Nuristan provinces. He became the only American commander who persuaded a major insurgent group to stop fighting and eventually join the government.

Since then Chris served as senior advisor in Afghanistan to Generals McChrystal, Petraeus, and Dunford, and in Washington, D.C. to Undersecretaries of Defense Michèle Flournoy and James Miller.

He was decorated by Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel with the Department’s highest civilian medal for his work on strategy.

    2. Iot LinkFest

In May 2017 the Poland Export Promotion Portal is hosting a booth at IoT World in  Santa Clara, CA.

      https://ict.trade.gov.pl/en/news/234052,next-stop-iot-world.html

The only problem is that they do not know all of the Polish companies which are working in the IoT area. All the attention will be on the few companies who were selected to exhibit there.  And PAIH is hiring 140 people in 70 countries around the world, to help your company export, but they also probably do not know about your Polish IoT company.

In order to help the Polish government promote Exports,  I  am building a database of Polish IoT companies.  Here is my database of Polish software companies.

      https://whypoland.info/polish-software-industry

So far I have found 40 Polish IoT companies.  I will be adding them to the IoT branch of WhyPoland.info.   Better yet we can do it together.  That way you can make sure that you company is presented in the best light.  That is what LinkFests are for.

A LinkFest is where we get together as a group, add links to appropriate websites, and get trained on advanced features of the software.  There will be a LinkFest at Google campus in Warsaw on May 4th.  I invite you to join us.

To register please send an email with your company URL to lozinski@blogory.org
